Proposal
My short film proposal is for a Thriller based film. It wouldn't be suitable for viewers with a nervous disposition.The film will be set in both an urban and forest settings. The film starts with a young man in his teens, running through a forest. The audience then discover that he is being chased by something that is not visible to the audience. The teen trips over, leaving him an easy target to the chaser. The chaser stands over him as the teen tries to back away on his hands. The chaser stands in front of the camera hiding the man and leading the film into the next scene. This scene will be shown again towards the end of the film.
The next scene is set a few hours before the chase began at the teen’s home. The young man throws his new book on to the table and begins to read. As he reads the audience discover that he is reading a book on myths and legends. Magic pieces of paper fly out of his book, which the teen is unaware of. As time goes by he then gets to the end of his book. He then leaves home and goes for a walk. His route leads him in to a forest. As he walks through the forest it begins to get darker and his imagination begins to go wild. The young man feels as if something is following him.
The man starts run through the forest. He then trips and a figure stands before him. The darkness disappears from the figure and it turns out to be a runner on a night run. The runner runs off and leaves the young man on the floor. The runner then disappears. He carries on his journey to find that his imagination wasn't just his imagination.
